The Logic of Bird and Animal Arts Project

Alexandria, 29 September 2005—The Arts Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing an arts project entitled "The Logic of Bird and Animal", 2-3 October.
The arts project includes a variety of activities including an exhibition for the works of Professor Yehia Abdo, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, about the book Kalila wa Dimna.
In addition, there will be a theater show for children aiming to introduce a modern view of old literature works using contemporary art media, as well as shed light on the language of birds and animals, and a lecture by Professor Yehia Abdo who will shed light on the book Kalila wa Dimna.
The festival also includes special shows dedicated to orphanage children, as well as shows for children with special needs.
The project was brainstormed by Dr. Mostafa El Razzaz, Plastic Arts Consultant at the BA. Its commissioner is Professor Ali El-Meligy, Dean of the Faculty of Qualitative Education, University of Cairo.
