Serageldin Signs Cooperation Agreement with Shoman Foundation in Amman

Alexandria— Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, will sign a cooperation agreement between the BA and the Abdul Hamid Shoman Foundation in Amman, Jordan, on Tuesday, 14 October 2008.

The Agreement stipulates supporting and enhancing scientific research and creativity in the Arab world, building bridges of dialogue and intellectual connection between the two institutions, and providing and disseminating general information among the public.

As guest speaker at the Abdul Hamid Shoman Cultural Forum, Serageldin will deliver a stimulating lecture entitled “At the Frontiers of Science” followed by a question and answer session. The Forum constitutes a free platform that hosts the most prominent of Arab intellectuals, scientists and innovators.

Founded in 1978 by Arab Bank, Abdul Hamid Shoman Foundation is an organization, which supports scientific research and cultural dialogue.
