The “Monte Carlo Doualiya Music Prize for the Dialogue between Cultures” at the BA

Alexandria— The BA is hosting the closing ceremony of the “Monte Carlo Doualiya Music Prize for the Dialogue between Cultures” on Thursday 16 October 2008, at 20:00 hrs at the Conference Center.

The Prize is established by Radio France Internationale as a project supported by the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures, Alexandria, Egypt.

The Prize encourages young musicians from Middle Eastern Arab cities at the beginning of their career to use the power of music for building bridges between countries and cultures.

The winner, whether an artist or a group, will be awarded 6000 Euros, and further be invited to a concert in Paris in autumn 2007 and will also benefit from international promotional assistance in marketing their recorded music.
