Serageldin Participates in the Annual Tällberg Forum

Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria participated in the Annual Tällberg Forum, Sweden, 26-29 June 2008, in which he gave a presentation on the notions of values and of boundaries. The presentation was received with a standing ovation by the 1000 plus guests. Ismail Serageldin also gave a moving and eloquent intonation in the concert organized at the old church in Siljansnäs. His words preceded the playing of Beethoven’s Pastorale.
The Annual Tällberg Forum gathers leaders from around the world for discussion and reflection. Under the theme “In Search of the Common Sense”, the mission of the Forum this year was to explore a path towards a sustainable balance between the systems of human activity and the natural systems. Among the eminent participants, was His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden.
