The BA Organizes an Exhibition for Artist Rembrandt van Rijn

Alexandria— The BA Arts Center, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Egypt, during the period from 20 to 28 February 2008, an exhibition for “Rembrandt van Rijn”. This exhibition shows a special selection of 35 reproductions, printed on real size with the newest techniques, which reflect Rembrandts unique talents. His paintings are scattered all over the world and they are so valuable that it has become impossible to make an exhibition of his masterpieces.

Rembrandt van Rijn (1606 – 1669) is one of the most famous painters of the 17th century. This was the Dutch “Golden Age”, the era in which Holland was formed and ruled the world seas. Rembrandt painted more than 300 works in his lifetime. Due to his experimental work he had a huge influence on the development of art. The most distinguished features of his manner of painting are light and movement, combined with the dramatic impact of the depicted story.

The exhibition is held in the BA Conference Center, West Exhibition Hall.
