As part of the “Shakespeare 400: Forever and a Day” international celebration, which is held by the BA in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the death of the great dramatist William Shakespeare (1664–1616), the BA Francophone Activities Center (CAF) is organizing a lecture titled ‘Shakespeare: The Inspiration of French Writers”.
The lecture will be conducted by Dr. Rania Ezz El Arab, an assistant professor at, and the acting head of department of, the French Department of the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University.
The lecture will be followed by a theatrical performance titled “Hamlet: Between Shakespeare and Prévert”. Simultaneous Arabic translation will be provided during the event.
