The BA is getting ready to take part in this year’s Sharjah International Book Fair. Publications of the BA, in both Arabic and English, will be handed out free of charge to the attendees for the first time.
The publications are dedicated to Arab and Islamic heritage and its renewal and maintenance, Islamic thought, manuscripts, architecture, and arts. Chief among these publications is the Al-Azhar Mosque Catalogue, which chronicles the mosque’s history, architecture and atmosphere from the beginning of its establishment to the modern day.
The BA will also participate with Sayed Ibrahim: A Reading into the Biography of the Grand Master of Calligraphy by Mohamed Hassan, an Arabic calligraphy research specialist at the BA Center for Writings and Scripts Studies. All volumes of “Awrak” and “Marased” Series, released by the BA’s Futuristic Studies Unit, will also be available.
