Bibliotheca Alexandrina Cinema Lectures

The BA Art center is organizing a new film activity that entails cinema lectures conducted by agroup of senior Egyptian film artists. Dr. Ahmed Maher; film director, writer and professor at the Higher Institute of Cinema, will be giving the first lecture on Thursday, 20 February, 2014 under the title "The Language of Cinema".
The lecture presents and analyzes the evolution of the language of cinema over the course of its history by showing examples from world cinema.
This new activity is inspired by the ancient traditions of major film festivals, and reflects the BA Art Center’s keenness to communicate with young filmmakers and fans of the seventh art. The lecture will be held at the BA Lecture Hall, at 7:00 pm.
