Apology

The BA offers its sincere apologies to His Excellency Ambassador Medhat El-Qady and his Wife Mrs. Haidi Farouq for the confusion between the rare facsimile of Al-Sharif Al-Idrissi’s Map of the Earth drawn for King Roger II of Sicily in 1154, which they have kindly donated to the BA, and another map of the pilgrimage routes in Istanbul, that was mentioned in the BA Newsletter Issue 8 (July 2010).
The BA stresses it is an inadvertent error, and expresses its gratitude for such a rare donation that has truly enriched the BA Map Library collection.
