The BA Center for Strategic Studies and the Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program organized a seminar entitled "The Future of Youth Studies in Egypt and the Arab Region: An In-Depth Look,” as part of the Library’s commitment to supporting academic dialogue and promoting specialized studies on youth and development issues.

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, in his speech delivered on his behalf by Dr. Marwa El-Wakil, Head of the Academic Research Sector, emphasized the importance of organizing this seminar, which reflects the Library's role as a center of intellectual influence and a platform for both Egyptian and Arab youth.

He added that Egypt is celebrating this year the launch of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports' National Strategy for Youth and Sports, which embodies the political leadership's interest in youth as the cornerstone of sustainable development.

The seminar was a continuation of the preparatory workshop held at the BA on the future of youth in Egypt and the Arab region, mechanisms for developing youth research, and the importance of involving youth as actors in the development process. It witnessed the participation of a group of leading experts, academics, and specialists in the field of youth studies.
