The BA Launches a Documentary Film on “Rawda Island Nilometer” as Part of “Aref” Series

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has released a new documentary film entitled “Rawda Island Nilometer” as part of its documentary series “Aref”. The film highlights a unique historical and architectural landmark, the Rawda Island Nilometer, which is a living witness to the eternal relationship between Egyptians and the Nile, considered the lifeline of Egypt, bringing goodness with its moderate floods, or warning of drought or flooding if its water level is disturbed. Hence the utmost importance of accurately measuring this level, which has become an integral part of the country's economic, social, and political fabric.
