The BA Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies and the Greco-Roman Archaeology Department, at the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, in cooperation with Alexandria Tourism Board, organize the Department’s second conference entitled “Egypt... The History and Civilization in the Greek and Roman Periods”, on 28 and 29 September 2022.

The conference tackles several aspects, including recent archaeological discoveries that date back to the Ptolemaic and Roman periods, as well as Greco-Roman Archaeology in Egypt, which reflects the local community’s influence by foreign factors. It also discusses topics such as archaeological restoration and maintenance, museum studies, heritage sites management, as well as papyri and inscriptions studies that mirror community life in Egypt in the Ptolemaic and Roman periods.
