The Bibliotheca Alexandrina – in partnership with Senghor University in Alexandria, l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Sciences de l'Information et des Bibliothèques (ENSSIB), and la Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) – announces the commencement of the online registration for the Diplôme Universitaire en Sciences de l’Information et des Bibliothèques (DUSIB). Applications should be submitted online by 30 June 2022 at the latest.
DUSIB is an internationally recognized one-year distance-learning diploma (taught in French) in the field of library and information sciences. It is equivalent to the first year of a Master’s degree.
This diploma, accredited and provided by Senghor University and ENSSIB, combines the academic and practical aspects of learning. Its courses (10 units taught over the span of 60 credit hours) are followed by a six-week practical training at the BA, the BnF, or any other internationally acclaimed Francophone library.
DUSIB targets librarians and information service specialists, in order to help them develop necessary professional skills, enrich their theoretical and practical knowledge, train them on the latest techniques, and qualify them to meet the needs of the public.
