A New Issue of Memory of Egypt on NGOs

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina released a special issue of Memory of Egypt magazine on the history of civil work, in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s declaration that marks 2022 as the year of civil society.

The issue documented the history of non-governmental organizations over two centuries, and featured articles and photos published for the first time, which depict the Egyptians’ efforts in establishing non-governmental organizations that serve the goals and expectations of society in domains such as social welfare, culture, science, development, and human rights.

This issue’s contributing writers included Dr. Ayman Fouad El-Sayed, Dr. Mohamed El-Sharnouby, Ahmed Gamal, Amina Shafik, Dr. Khaled El-Kady, Dr. Ramy Atta Seddiq, Dr. Ayman El-Sayed Abdel Wahab, Saad Abdel Rahman, Dr. Khaled Abdel Fattah, Dr. Mai Mogeeb, Dr. Mona Haggag, Historian Ahmed Kamaly, Lawyer Nehad Abul Komsan, and Researcher Maged Kamel.
