The BA Holds a Symposium on Egypt’s Initiatives 2022

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, said that Egypt will witness several initiatives and events throughout 2022, which represent an extension of the intensified effort exerted by the Egyptian state at all levels. He added that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as part of its concern with the issues related to modern Egyptian state building, will organize a symposium entitled “The Year 2022: An Egyptian Vision”, with the participation of ministers, intellectuals, academics, and media professionals. The symposium aims at discussing a number of crucial events that will take place in Egypt in the coming year, such as the Climate Summit, the inauguration of restored archaeological sites, as well as the new developments in the Administrative Capital. It will also discuss the role of the civil society, and its partnership with the Egyptian state in achieving development and expanding investment opportunities.
The symposium comprises two sessions. Speakers at the first session include Dr. Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities; Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation; and Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment. The second session will feature a discussion among a number of prominent experts in the fields of energy, public policies, and human development, including Dr. Khaled Zakaria, Dr. Hania Sholkamy, and Dr. Ahmed Kandil. The symposium will also be attended by representatives of ministries, university faculty members, civil society, and the media, in addition to youth representation.
