Dr. Tharwat Okasha’s Centennial Celebration at the BA

Under the auspices of Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), and in celebration of the centenary of the prominent writer, intellectual, and former Minister of Culture Dr. Tharwat Okasha, the BA Arts Center is organizing a major music concert on Thursday, 1 April 2021, at 6:00 pm, in the BACC Great Hall. The concert will be delivered by the BA Orchestra, the BA Youth Orchestra, and the BA Choir, and will be conducted by Nayer Nagui. The event will also host Minister of Culture, Dr. Inas Abdel-Dayem (Soloist Flute).
The program includes selections from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and Aram Khachaturian’s Gayane (Ballet Suite), in addition to some musical works by Alexander Borodin and Rageh Daoud.
