Lecture: “Alexandria and the Sea in the Hellenistic and Roman Periods”

The BA Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies organizes a lecture entitled “Alexandria and the Sea in the Hellenistic and Roman Periods” on Tuesday, 1 December 2020, at 1:00 pm, in the BACC Lecture Hall. It will be delivered by Dr. Emad Khalil, Professor of Marine Archaeology (Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University), and Supervisor of the BA Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies.
The lecture will give an overview of the role of Alexandria as a central port in the Mediterranean, from the fourth century BC to the late Roman period.
The event is open for public, but attendance is limited as part of the precautionary measures taken to combat the spread of coronavirus.
