Alexandria Model American Congress 2013 at the BA

The BA Depository Library, in cooperation with the U.S. Consulate General in Alexandria organizes the 4th edition of the Alexandria Model of American Congress (MAC) on Wednesday, 13 February 2013.
Introducing youth to the diversity of US politics and society, civic leadership, and political debate, and discussing major global political and economic problems, MAC gives youth a chance to engage in a role-playing simulation of the United States Congress.
Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, will give the inaugural speech, followed with speeches by Mr. Candace Putnam, U.S. Consul General to Alexandria, Mr. Ahmed Haggag, Head of BA Depository Library, and Mr. Tarek Nader, MAC’13 Executive Director. A concert by Assyrian Musician Rimon Ezzat will be held on the fringe lines of the event.
The opening starts at 6:00 pm at the BACC Great Hall and is open to public.
