Inji Efflatoun is one of the leading third-generation figures of the art movement in Egypt in the second half of the twentieth century. Her artistic achievements have been highly regarded and acclaimed to this day. In her drawings, she captured rural Egypt and the simple life of peasants. She also reflected what she saw inside and outside Egypt from a personal and humane perspective that is characterized by unique simplicity and depth.

The exhibition features 40 original artworks donated to the BA by the late artist’s family. It will be open until Monday, 16 December 2019, daily: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm; except Fridays and Saturdays: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm.
