“Securing Social Peace in Egypt” Lecture

Within its Distinguished Lecture Series, the BA Center for Democracy and Social Peace Studies (CDSPS) holds a lecture on Sunday, 2 September 2012, entitled “Securing Social Peace in Egypt: Innovative Approaches to Violence Prevention through the Assessment and Management of Threats”.
The lecture hosts Mr. Roman Projomko; Associate of Black Swan Forensics (a threat assessment and management company based in Netherlands), and a member of faculty of the APEIRON Institute for Advanced Security Studies in Krakow, Poland.
This event examines the complex nature of violence, its origins and motivations, typologies and impacts. It will highlight proven approaches and methodologies that assist in the better understanding, assessment and management of the most dangerous threats from targeted violence. In addition, an organizational model will be presented - with over two decades of experience - which brings together government, business sector and civil society in a partnership that reduces crime and prevents violence, builds public involvement, trust and confidence, and supports essential police reforms.
The lecture is held at the BACC Lecture Hall at 3:00 pm, and is open for public.
It is given in English and Arabic interpretation will be available.
