Serageldin talks about the BA and the Arab Spring

At the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a gathering place for leading figures from around the world, Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, gave a speech entitled “Revolution and Rebirth: the View from Alexandria, Egypt”.
The Lecture tackled the role of the reborn Library of Alexandria in helping to promote the values of freedom that were at the heart of Egypt’s Revolution, and about the challenges facing the Library in the Arab Spring.
