The BA Organizes a Lecture on “The Aesthetics of the Arabic Language in the Texts of Islamic Papyrus”

The Writing and Scripts Center, affiliated to the Academic Sector at the BA, organizes a lecture entitled “The Aesthetics of the Arabic Language in the Texts of Islamic Papyrus,” as part of the World Arabic Language Day celebration. It is delivered by Dr. Mohammed Abdel Latif, former Assistant Minister of Antiquities, and Professor of Islamic and Coptic Antiquities at Mansoura University, on Thursday, 20 December 2018, at 12:00 pm, in the Auditorium.

The lecture discusses the aesthetics of the Arabic language on several Egyptian papyrus in early Islamic ages. It also tackles the most notable Arabic papyrus preserved in European museums, the United States and the Egyptian National Library and Archives.
