On the 45th anniversary of the death of Taha Hussein, the Dean of Arabic literature, and stemming from its belief in the role of culture and thought in the development of nations, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina has issued a new edition of the book The Future of Culture in Egypt as part of the “Reissuing Heritage Books” Project. This new edition comes after 80 years since the publication of the first edition in 1938.
Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the BA, mentioned in the foreword of the book that this endeavour comes as part of the BA’s effort to combat intellectual terrorism, and make room for thoughts that contribute to the modernization and advancement of Arab and Islamic societies.
The book will be displayed in the Annual Meeting of Intellectuals and Thinkers that is held on Tuesday, 25 December and Wednesday, 26 December 2018.
