Posted on
The Women’s Studies and Social Transformation Program at the BA organizes a number of different activities and events in the light of the 16-day campaign to fight violence against women. The events start from 25 November until 10 December 2018.
A seminar to launch the campaign’s calendar of events will be held on 25 November 2018 at 11:00 am, and will be attended by representatives of UN Women, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and The National Council for Women, as well as other entities that are concerned with fighting violence against women. The BA will also be lit in orange on 25 November 2018 following the example of distinguished landmarks around the world.
This campaign comes as part of the BA’s adoption of several cases in sustainable development and women empowerment. It also comes as part of the activities of the Women’s Studies and Social Transformation Program, which has been recently established to become a platform for women activities and programs and a promotor of positive social change and transformation.
