The School for Wives in a Play Reading

The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in French on Wednesday, 4 January 2012. Participants will read The School for Wives by the French playwright Molière.
This theatrical comedy of five chapters revolves around Arnolphe, who wishes to marry young Agnès an orphan he has groomed since the age of four. After living in a nunnery until the age of 17, young Agnès falls in love with Horas at first sight. Arnolphe then schemes to fight Horace in order to ensure that his naïve ward will marry him.
The session starts at 13:00 hrs at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
