Premiere of the Third Round of the Plaza Project

The BA Arts Center holds on Monday, 26 December 2011, the third round premiere of the Plaza Project, supporting the production of short films inspired by Ahlam Fatrat El-Naqaha (Dreams of the Rehabilitation Period), the last book by prominent Egyptian Writer Naguib Mahfouz.
Film screening is followed by a seminar hosting prominent Director Mohamed Khan.
The winning films are: Toc Toc, directed by Mahmoud Abd El-Hakim; Khat fe Dayra (A Line in A Circle), directed by Mohsen Abd El-Ghani; and El-Helm 195 (Dream Number 195), directed by Sherif Naguib.
Other films outside the Plaza competition will be also screened including: Ala Mawed Honak (An Appointment There), directed by Haitham Diab; and Next Track, directed by Tasneem Moustafa.
Some of the Fig Leaf Studio productions will also be featured, including: Mahadesh Ayz Yelaab Maaia (No One Wants to Play with Me), directed by Mark Lotfy; Fan Al-Thawra Al-Haditha (The Art of Modern Revolution), directed by Abdallah Sharkas; Zakareya, directed by Emad Maher; and El-Helm 79 (Dream Number 79), directed by Islam Kamal.
Plaza is a filmmaking project created by the Arts Center to support emerging filmmakers from Egypt, and especially Alexandria, by producing short narrative films.
