Alexandrian Heritage Writings: Selected Views

The BA Calligraphy Center, in cooperation with the Centre d'Etudes Alexandrines (CEAlex), holds on Monday, 17 October 2011, a symposium entitled “Alexandrian Heritage Writings: Selected Views” within the “Alexandrian Heritage Days”.
The event encompasses several lectures including “The Non-Greek Cultural Heritage in the Ancient Library of Alexandria”, by Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Ghani; “Alexandrian Heritage in the Writings of Modern and Contemporary Travelers (1517- 1952) by Researcher Islam Assem; “Alexandrian Events, Touristic Sites” by Ahmed Manosour, Deputy Director of the Calligraphy Center; and “Elements of Heritage in the Alexandrian Street” by Researcher Mohamed Hassan.
"Alexandrian Heritage Days" event aims to spread awareness on Alexandria’s history and culture by celebrating its heritage. It targets the public at large, different age groups and backgrounds, through a series of events held at different places from 16 to 21 October 2011.
