Serageldin Delivers a Keynote Address on Copyright Infrastructure

At the Conference on Copyright Documentation and Infrastructure organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on 13 and 14 October 2011 in Geneva, Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, delivers a keynote address entitled “Copyright Infrastructure: Enabling the Exercise of Rights and Facilitating the Public Interest”.
Established in 1967 to promote the protection of intellectual property throughout the world, WIPO is dedicated to developing a system that rewards creativity while safeguarding the public interest. It is a specialized agency of the United Nations with its headquarters in Geneva.
