Easy Money in a Play Reading at the BA
Posted on
The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in Arabic on Wednesday, 29 June 2011. Participants will read Easy Money by the Russian playwright Alexander Ostrovsky.
The play narrates the story of a flock of crows, depicting the conflict that lies in the lives of employees and intellectuals, who are not happy with their salaries. Yet they rather adopt a utilitarian approach to life by striving to make money illegally as well as accepting bribes. However, despite their desperate attempts to degrade virtuous people, Ostrovsky proves the triumph of virtue over money lust in the end.
The session starts at 13:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
