The BA Learning Center Monthly Programs

As part of its commitment to develop lifelong learning and foster information literacy, the BA organizes special monthly outreach programs that enhance its users research skills.
The program presents a variety of courses, such as Computer for Beginners, Web 2.0, Information for All, Internet Advanced, Citation, in addition to orientation sessions on the Maps Library, Depository Library, and Multimedia Library. It also introduces the electronic resources offered by the BA to its users, such as EBSCOhost, InfoTrac and many others. Health Education Program and Better Practical Life courses are also offered to the public as part of the program.
Library users are also trained on the use of the United Nations Statistical Databases, the United Nations Commodity and Trade Statistical Database (UN Comtrade), World Bank Databases, Official Documents Databases, and the Online Library of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (SourceOECD).
Registration starts on 20 June 2011, and is open for public free of charge. Priority is given to early registration at the General Reference Desk at the Library Entrance or via e-mail to: learning.center@bibalex.org
