BA Participates in 3rd “Education and Culture without Borders” Project Meeting

The 3rd periodic meeting of the “Education and Culture without Borders” Project was concluded in Asilah, Morocco. The BA participated in the workshops held and organized within the framework of the project through conducting several projects revolving around non-formal education.
Several Arab and European countries participated in the meeting to present their contributions in and projects on non-formal education to Arab and foreign young people who took part in this cultural event.
The BA Central Projects and Services Sector and Library Sector participated in the event to discuss the means of activating the “Education and Culture without Borders” Project and how each organization can contribute to the project’s success. Additionally, the documentation projects executed by the BA, such as the Memory of Modern Egypt and Memory of the Arab World; the Library’s role in non-formal education through providing free and publically accessible digital resources available on each project’s website; and how these resources can be beneficial to the “Education and Culture without Borders” Project were topics of discussion during the event. The activities, projects, and events of the BA Futuristic Studies Unit were also presented.
Several examples of youth projects executed by the BA Depository Library, General Collections and Services Department, were also presented. These projects included the Model of European Union (MEU), the Alexandria Model of American Congress (MAC), the Alexandria International Model United Nations (AIMUN), the “I’m a Technician. I’ll Build my Country” Project, the EnterprenEve Project, and other youth projects on non-formal education.
