BA Inaugurates “Towards a Better Educator” Project in Collaboration with Sawiris Foundation and Star Care Egypt

The BA will inaugurate the “Towards a Better Educator” project on Tuesday, 2 August 2016 at 1:00 pm. “Towards a Better Educator” is one of the biggest projects working for the development of education. It was established in collaboration with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and Star Care Egypt. Several guests will give opening speeches during the inauguration, including Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the BA.
The project aims to implement a training program for teachers that will rely on developing teachers’ personal and life skills that are complementary with their teaching skills. This will lead to enhancing their communication with students, which will reflect positively on the educational process as a whole.
The project targets state schools, specifically primary and preparatory levels, in Alexandria and Assiut. Competitions will be held between different schools, in which both teachers and students can participate.
The project was born as a result of the collaborative effort between the BA, as a scientific, cultural, and academic center working on the dissemination of science and knowledge; the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, which collaborated with government entities to launch over 260 projects and initiatives up to this day; Star Care Egypt, which was established by the Mercedez Benz Egypt partners to work on promoting and endorsing social services concerning children in several fields; and the Egyptian Ministry of Education.
