The BA Narrative Review will resume its cultural activities at the Library and at Sinnari House after Ramadan and Eid holidays. Writer Mounir Oteiba, supervisor of the BA Narrative Review, stated that new activities will be added to the program, such as discussing manuscripts—which will give writers the chance to discover and amend any problems in their works prior to publication—and discussing works of literary criticism in order to expand the critical knowledge of the audience.
The BA Narrative Review events will commence at the BA on Tuesday, 12 July with a discussion on the manuscript of the short story collection Zat khatf mowaten by the distinguished Alexandrian Writer Elsherbiny Almohandes. The discussion will be led by the members of the BA Narrative Review in Alexandria. On Tuesday, 19 July, Ahmed Fadel Shablol and Entesar Abdel Moniem are going to conduct a discussion on a novel by Egyptian Author Talaat Shahin, titled Al brtoqala wa al’akrab (The Orange and the Scorpion). On Tuesday, 26 July, Mokhtar Saad Shehata and Dr. Nada Yousri are going to discuss two works by Author Adel Saad, namely his novel Ramadan al maseehy (Ramadan the Christian) and his Al baba mat (The Pope Has Died) collection.
On Wednesday, 20 July, a seminar is set to be held at Sinnari House to discuss two very short story collections. The first collection, Shido albara’a, is by Author Wael Wagdy and the second one, Ma lan takoloh Shahrazad, is by Author Fatma Wahidi. The discussion will be directed by literary critic Dr. Sherif Abdeen.
