Advanced Arabic Manuscript Critical Editing Course: Call for Participation

The BA Manuscripts Center is announcing a call for participation in its Advanced Arabic Manuscript Critical Editing Course. The course will be held twice a day from 15 to 19 May 2016. All the lectures will be delivered by manuscript specialist Dr. Bashar Awwad Marouf, who will discuss the critical editing process of manuscripts and the methods of editing books on hadith, fiqh, Quran interpretation, history, translation, and literature.
The course is open to manuscript critical editing specialists; participants who have a keen interest in topics concerning heritage and manuscripts (indexing and Arabic manuscript critical editing); as well as employees of libraries, heritage centers, publishing houses; and graduate students.
The course will be held at the BA Conference Center. To participate in the course, please send in your registration request no later than 14 April 2016.
