The Bahraini capital of Manama will host the international conference Youths and Culture Against Extremism next May. The conference is organized by Isa Cultural Center, in collaboration with the BA and the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies.
The conference will discuss how Arab culture is composed of several elements that distinguish it from other world cultures. Over the course of several centuries, these elements have become a cornerstone to uniting nations whose populations are dispersed all over vast countries. The unification of language, religion, and cultural heritage is one of the most important elements that has long been a means of breaking through barriers of time and location and creating a sense of accord in the face of challenges and instability.
The issue of extremism has concerned researchers as it threatens youths, society, and international security and peace. Therefore, the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies released a collection of significant studies dealing with this phenomenon based on various aspects. These studies were conducted by specialists from Saudi Arabia and beyond. King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies was also keen on forming partnerships with the most distinguished research centers around the world to study this issue among other topics that interest the Arab and Islamic worlds. This conference is a result of one of these partnerships.
