BA Celebrates Using LED Technology High-Efficiency Lighting
Posted on
The BA organized a ceremony to mark the completion of the conversion of the existing BA lighting system in the conference center halls from customary lighting to high efficiency lighting using the energy-saving LED technology.
This groundbreaking project is part of a collaboration effort between the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and the BA, in keeping with the BA’s societal responsibility and its commitment to contributing to the reduction of electricity usage in response to the President of Egypt’s request and the country’s overall goals.
The conversion to energy-saving lighting at the BA conference halls is a step towards a full conversion in all BA buildings; a step that is backed by the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
The celebration was attended by representatives of the Electricity Sector, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the BA, and specialists in Alexandria.
This project is one of seventeen projects carried out in different sectors through the energy efficiency improvement project—funded by the UNDP and the Global Environment Facility.
