“Refuting the Basis of Extremist Discourse” Conference in Morocco

The BA, in collaboration with the Mohammadia League of Scholars, organized an international conference in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, on 21 and 22 December 2015 under the title “Refuting the Basis of Extremist Discourse”.
The conference covered the most significant manifestations of religious extremism and analyzed its ideological origins in an effort to discover the means to fight it. A group of distinguished academics and researchers from Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Britain, Egypt, and Morocco took part in the conference and presented different studies, such as “Violence and Extremism in the Philosophy of Modern Politics”, “The Origins of Preventive Measures against Extremism in Fiqh Al-Nawazli Al-Maliki”, and “Sociological and Anthropological Determinants for the Phenomenon of Violence and Extremism”.
The research work presented at the conference will be collected, printed as a hard copy, and published digitally.
