Culture to Combat Extremism: An Arab Conference in Bahrain

During the BA delegation’s visit to Isa Cultural Center to strengthen the collaboration efforts between both parties in the fields of culture and information science, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Executive Director of Isa Cultural Center in Bahrain, announced future plans for organizing a joint conference under the title “Arab Culture and Combating Extremism” to be held in May 2016 with the participation of an elite group of Arab intellectuals.
The cooperation between the BA and Isa Cultural Center will bring forth informational activities, organized by the BA, to inform Egyptians of the history and peoples of Bahrain. Additionally, Egyptian events are to be held at Isa Cultural Center as well as joint conferences, seminars, festivals, and cultural celebrations. Several projects will also be carried out by both institutions, such as Memory of Bahrain, Memory of the Arab World, and the Digital Library at the Center’s National Library.
