Established in September 2014, the Omani Narrative Review celebrated its one year anniversary on 26 October. Representing the BA Narrative Review during the celebrations was its supervisor Mounir Oteiba and its founder Hossam Abd el-Kader, a journalist and Consultant for the BA Special Projects Department.

During the celebration, the work and experience of both, the BA and the Omani Narrative Review, were reviewed and assessed. There was also a discussion assessing the journey and progress of the Omani Narrative Review after its first year.

Since its establishment, the Omani Narrative review has held eight criticism sessions; two training workshops; a discussion circle on the realistic and the expected Omani narrative and its criticism; and the role of the Narrative Review. Moreover, the Omani Narrative Review, represented by writers Hussam  al-Maskri and Amal el-Saïdia, previously took part in a training workshop at the BA. A memorandum of understating was also signed between both Narrative Reviews.

On 27 October, the Omani Narrative Review organized a criticism session titled “An Egyptian Novel with an Omani Perspective” presented by researcher Mona bent Hebras al-Solaymeya on the novel Mogitos by Egyptian novelist and supervisor of the BA Narrative Review, Mounir Oteiba.
