Talking Hands Got Talent: Call for Participation

The BA Main Library is announcing a call for participation in the “Talking Hands Got Talent” competition. The competition aims to showcase the talents of young people who have mastered sign language and to encourage them to further develop these skills.
Interested applicants should be familiar with sign language and should not be younger than 16 years old. Participants are also required to record a five minute video inspired by one of the books they read at the BA (the title of the book should be mentioned at the end of the video) and hand in the CD at the Main Library General Information Desk no later than Sunday, 29 March 2015.
Only the accepted works will be presented during the BA Arab Deaf Week celebrations under the theme “Talking Hands Got Talent” on Wednesday, 15 April 2015 at 5:00 pm at the BACC Small Theater.
