The International Youth Forum for Sustainable Nuclear Technology at the BA

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosted the opening of the International Youth Forum for Sustainable Nuclear Technology, under the patronage of Dr. Mahmoud Essmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and in partnership with the Nuclear Power Plants Authority and the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom”, in the presence of representatives of more than 25 countries.
The Forum was inaugurated by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; Dr. Mohamed Dowidar, Chairman of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority; and Eng. Mohamed Ramadan Badawi, Vice Chairman of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority.
The event also featured recorded speeches by Mr. Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom; Mr. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency; and Ms. Sama Bilbao, Director General of the World Nuclear Association.
It is worth noting that the Forum aims to enhance cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experiences among young people specialized in nuclear energy and discuss current developments in the field of nuclear energy technology and its uses in different domains.
