A Cultural Evening Celebrating Umm Kulthum at Sinnari House

The BA Sinnari House and the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT) are organizing a cultural evening celebrating the artistic and cultural heritage of Umm Kulthum, on Wednesday, 26 February 2025, at 6:00 pm.
The event will be inaugurated by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, in the presence of a host of artists, intellectuals, and public figures. The Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage will present the project "Documenting the Heritage of Arabic Music" and provide an overview of its first publication Aʻlām al-Mūsīqá al-ʻArabīyah: Umm Kulthūm (Major Figures of Arabic Music: Umm Kulthum). It will also present a CD featuring the first joint collaboration between Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Umm Kulthum.
Moreover, Egyptian musical heritage historian Haitham Abu Zeid will highlight rare historical milestones in Umm Kulthum's life, with anecdotes of musical compositions demonstrated and analyzed.
