The BA Mourns Actor Nabil El-Halfawy

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina mourns with great sorrow the distinguished actor Nabil El-Halfawy, who passed away at the age of seventy-seven.
Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, on behalf of the Library administration and staff, extends his sincere condolences to the family and fans of the deceased.
As a cultural institution, the Library acknowledges the remarkable artistic efforts made by the late artist in the service of art and culture, and commends his adherence to virtuous values and his commitment to moral principles and upholding national interests.
It is worth mentioning that Nabil El-Halfawy had left behind a lasting artistic legacy since his graduation from the Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1970. He began working in Egyptian films and TV series and was an example of an artist committed to the issues of his nation. His most notable works include the film The Road to Eilat and the series Al-Zaini Barakat, Zizinya, Raafat Al-Haggan, Wannous, Ghawayesh, Canaria and Company, Egyptian Papers, among others.
