The Bibliotheca Alexandrina announces that it has nothing to do with what has recently been circulated on social media regarding the selling of certain collections that belonged to the late actor Nour El-Sherif at markets and auctions. In this respect, the BA confirms that it received a donation from the late actor’s family in May 2016, which included 6022 books, 167 papers that represent the contracts of his production company, as well as 9 notebooks written in his handwriting and documenting his thoughts and remarks. Visitors and researchers can have access to the books at the Rare Books and Special Collections Library (B2 Level) at any time, since all of them are fully catalogued and listed on the Library’s database.

The BA also stresses that it has not received any personal collections belonging to the late actor, such as photo albums, awards, or shields.
