“State Awards” at Sinnari House

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (through the Cultural Development and Community Outreach Department), organizes a free and open for public seminar titled “State Awards and Formal Recognition” on Wednesday, 17 August 2022, at 6:00 pm, at Sinnari House, Cairo.
The seminar revolves around the awards granted by the Egyptian state to creators and researchers in the fields of arts, literature, and social sciences. It aims at presenting a number of experiences and ideas, as well as responding to several queries regarding awards and honors.
The seminar will be delivered by Egyptian novelist Hossam El-Adly. Mr. El-Adly published several novels and short stories, and won the 2022 State Encouragement Award.
The event will be moderated by novelist and art historian Dr. Sherif Shaaban, who is a Lecturer in Art History at the Faculty of Archaeology, Cairo University.
