The webinar will be delivered by a host of distinguished speakers: Dr. Hussein El-Atfy, former Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation and Secretary General of the Arab Water Council; Dr. Hani Sewilam, Academic Director, Department of Engineering Hydrology, RWTH Aachen University; Dr. Mohamed Abdrabbuh, Executive Director of the Center for Climate Change Adaptation, Alexandria University; and representatives of Egyptian universities taking part in the event.

It is worth mentioning that this webinar is held within the framework of the ERASMUS+ project (Steering Migration through Sustainable Development: Euro-Egyptian Program for Agriculture and Rural Development “DeVilag”). This project is an international collaboration between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and a number of Egyptian and European universities: RWTH Aachen, Germany; the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden; the University of Nicosia, Cyprus; Cairo University; Fayoum University; Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development; the American University in Cairo; and the BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP).

The DeVilag project aims to support the Egyptian rural community, and provide it with the necessary qualified graduate and university expertise to improve agricultural productivity, enable more sustainable food production, develop poor villages, and enhance farmers' income and their living conditions to help reduce rural-urban migration.
