The BA Center for Coptic Studies organizes a lecture entitled “The Cataloguing of Coptic Manuscripts and their Role in Egyptian History” on Monday, 16 December 2019, at 2:00 pm, in the Auditorium Hall. It will be delivered by Mr. Ishaq Elbagoushy, Lecturer of Ancient Manuscripts at St. Mark Center for Coptic Liturgical Studies.

The lecture aims at highlighting the historical details of Coptic manuscripts, which document the social and economic conditions of the Egyptian people, as well as reflect the conflicts, wars, earthquakes, and famines that prevailed during that time. The lecturer will display some examples of the aforementioned features, which he discovered in the process of cataloguing the manuscripts.
