TWAS-ARO 8th Annual Meeting

The 8th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World's Arab Regional Office (TWAS-ARO) on 30 and 31 December 2012 at the BA, under the theme “The Role of Science, Engineering and Technology in Achieving Sustainable Human Development in the Arab Region”.
It intends to bring together TWAS-ARO members and young affiliates, along with other distinguished speakers, to tackle several issues related to the theme. It also aims at raising the awareness on the importance of sustainable development, and identifying available alternative solutions to problems of sustainability in the Arab Region.
Registration deadline is 1 December 2012.
Registration fees are 150 L.E. for academia, and 100 L.E. for students.
Realizing the role of scientific research as an important tool for social development and economic progress, the TWAS-ARO continues to support young Arab researchers by holding a poster session for young Arab researchers, to showcase their research. TWAS-ARO will sponsor 10 outstanding young researchers, from different Arab countries, to present their projects/research.
Deadline for registration is 15 October 2012.
