The Exhibition opening features an orientation about the Memory of Modern Egypt (MOME) project and website, as well as screening of the MOME documentary by Mahmoud Ezzat, Head of BA MOME Unit.
On the fringe lines of the Exhibition, several lectures are held on the history of contemporary Egypt and the Egyptian Revolution at the Vilnius University as well as several cultural centers and high schools, with the aim to introduce the history of Egypt to the public.
MoME is a digital repository documenting the last 200 years of Egypt’s modern history through tens of thousands of varying items, such as documents, pictures, audios, videos, maps, articles, stamps, coins, etc. that created an index of 14 different material types.
