Lecture on Egypt and the Nile Basin Countries

The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World-Arab Regional Office (TWAS-ARO) holds a lecture entitled “Egypt and the Nile Basin: Between Past, Present and Future” on Tuesday, 27 December 2011.

The Lecture hosts Dr. Mahmoud Abu-Zeid, President of the Arab Water Council and Former Egyptian Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation. It aims at discussing the relations between Egypt and the Nile Basin countries and the signed conventions and initiatives. It will also review the current Egyptian water situation, measures taken in this reagrd, and future requirements.

The Lecture is held on the fringe lines of TWAS-ARO 7th Annual Meeting under the title "Water, Nuclear and Renewable Energy: Challenges Versus Opportunities”. It will take place at the BACC Lecture Hall, at 12:00 noon.
